We seek to understand and explain complex phenomena and critically reflect on the internationalization of social, economic and societal systems, its impacts, issues and chances between the poles of global convergence and local plurality. We employ both qualitative and quantitative methods, theories and ideas in our research; our research interests are broad and varied. Specific areas of expertise include:
- Socio-political issues and micro-politics in and around organizations, especially in the context of multinational corporations and global value chains
- Theories of power and political agency in organizations
- Contemporary standardization-, reorganization- and digitalization- trends in MNCs
- Political and emotional aspects of organizational sensemaking
