Guidelines
General Remarks
The Macroeconomics Research Group supervises both Bachelor’s and Master’s theses. We welcome interested students to reach out to us at any time. We are open to discussing topics related to the courses offered and our research interests. We will work with the student to determine a suitable thesis topic based on their interests and ideas. Registration timelines or start dates do not limit you. Contact us to learn more about our supervision process and how we can help you achieve your academic goals.
Admission
To be admitted for supervision of your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis, you must first consult with your supervisor and then apply to the faculty’s examination office.
Scope and Time Frame
The recommended length for a Bachelor’s thesis is 30 pages (+/- 10%). The thesis is typically written in German. After registration, students have eight calendar weeks to complete their thesis.
For a Master’s thesis, students have four months to complete their thesis after registration. The length of the thesis will vary depending on the topic and will be determined in consultation with your supervisor. Generally, a Master’s thesis consists of 40 to 60 pages.
