The programme M.Sc. Economics teaches students the skills needed to analyse economic issues and problems thoroughly, understand and apply the relevant academic theory, and use the correct formal and empirical methods. This in turn will allow them to find creative approaches to problem solving and predict the political and social consequences of economic activity.

Within the M.Sc. Economics programme, we offer two possibilities to obtain a so-called Double Degree with universities in Italy.

There has been a 2-year master programme offered in cooperation with the University of Insubria (Varese, Italy) and the Friedrich Schiller University since the beginning of July 2012.

In addition, there has been a 2-year master programme offered in cooperation with the University of Trento (Italy) and the Friedrich Schiller University  starting in the winter term 2015/16. 

The programme M.Sc. Business Administration allows graduates with a background in business studies to broaden their education and to obtain a further degree. Here, they have the possibility to further specialise in different fields of business administration, such as supply chain management or management.

The programme is offered in German.

The programme M.Sc. Business Administration for Engineers and Scientists allows graduates with a background in engineering or the hard sciences to broaden their education by obtaining a broad knowledge in business administration, which will aid them in further shaping their professional career.

The programme M.Sc. / M.Ed. Business and Economics Education allows graduates with a background in business studies and business and economics education to broaden their education and to obtain a further degree. Here, they have the possibility to either further study to become teachers or to specialise in the field of workplace development.

The programme M.Sc. Business Infomation Systems allows graduates with a background in business studies or business information systems to broaden their education and to obtain a further degree. Here, they have the possibility to further specialise in the field of business information systems.
