How to strengthen German foreign trade
Published:
The next German federal government is facing uncertain international relations and difficult trading conditions. Stefan Liebing and Andreas Freytag have therefore considered how German foreign trade could be strengthened.
Despite international developments in the opposite direction, Germany should continue to advocate for free trade and increasingly approach African countries in this regard. Prof Freytag and Prof Liebing are also in favour of stronger governmental foreign trade promotion, especially for SMEs. This can be supported by an interest-orientated development policy. The authors are also in favour of abolishing the Supply Chain Act.
Andreas Freytag and Stefan Liebing hope to contribute to a fruitful discussion on the foreign trade policy of the next German government and would be delighted to receive your comments.
