Also this year, the alumni association of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Alumni Jenenses e.V.External link awarded the best theses from the previous year at its HomeComing-Weekend de.
Unlike in the past, the master's thesis prize was awarded twice this year, as it was not possible to distinguish between these two outstanding works. The prizes went to Johannes Kobe for the work supervised by Prof. Pigorsch "On the effectiveness of measures to combat pandemics: A replication study taking into account methods of machine learning" and Elisa Stumpf for the work supervised by Prof. Übelmesser on the topic "An Empirical Analysis of Preferences for Redistribution”.
The bachelor's thesis prize went to Fabian Hennig, who wrote a thesis on the subject of "Automatic optimization of the parameters of metaheuristics" at Prof. Boysen's chair. We warmly congratulate all award winners!
Unfortunately, Mr. Kobe was unable to attend the event. The certificate was also accompanied by prize money, which the winners were very happy about.
